How have people organized against colonialism, oppression, and inequality? What can we learn from the experiences of past and present liberation movements for today’s social struggles?
The event focuses on the agency of peoples and groups striving for self-determination: building communities and alliances, fostering mutual solidarity and resistance, and creating the collective power needed to transform power relations in society.
The event will be held in English.
Among speakers will be Western Sahara Liberation Front Polisario’s representative in Finland Dr. Embarka Hamdi and Dr. Walter Fondo from African Civil Society in Finland. Other speakers will be annouced soon.
Event’s facilitator is director of DSL Study Center Jari Karttunen.
